A Raggedy Situation

It is that time of year again. The temperatures are cooler, leaves are beginning to fall, and everyone is tripping over themselves for drinks that taste like a perfectly good cup of coffee with a menthol cigarette extinguished into it.

Few see the holiday as more than an opportunity for kiddos to dress-up and fill pillow cases with the hard earned money of their neighbors – Snickers, Reese’s and M&Ms for those non-investing types.

Yet, there are some who profess to hear the things that go bump every October night. Those “I ain’t afraid of no ghosts” adults who are terrified by the mere thought of vampires and zombies or worse. Their spurious nightmares that materialize even in the midst of day forming the most spine-chilling, keep you awake at night, checking under the bed or in dark corners, things…

Then there are those warped young at heart who are tortured by the season. As if possessed, they have no control and must participate in the wicked deed. Choosing a victim is like playing a game….

And when the exploits begin to those they happen to… there is no doubt some higher evil is pulling the strings like a marionette lurking, just waiting.

With extreme trepidation, a co-worker and friend provided enlightenment into her childhood fear that had manifested into severe perturbation towards dolls as an adult.

Halloween lesson 101…. never tell your friends what you are most afraid of… those Ragged fears manifest into videos and photos that will be shared for years.

Peek-a-boo I see you

Halloween teaches that you are never too old to have fun!

Happy Fall and Happy Halloween y’all!
